The New Cold War

The World has changed and is changing fast, considering the recent developments by China and the United States of America splitting the world into a bipolar world. This is causing the world to exit from a stage of a period of incredible growth and political stability to a cold war. The world countries don't agree to the terms set by western policy makers. They started to see their stands as an individual and started forming alliances such as BRICS which are set to cripple the US Dollar. Feels like the red dragon is one step ahead of the free hawk.

Additional Information

The fight is about making influence with member nations where the USA recently lost its battle in Saudi Arabia to China and are trying to make things right. This recent change is due to the anti communism foreign policy shown by the United States. China is heavily investing into developing nations and making them prone to the Chinese debt trap. The Chinese alliance ideology is based on mutual interest where as the US ideology is based on set of rules. The upcoming currency formed by the Brick Nations will pose a serious threat to the US Dollar. When Other countries start using the BRICS currency for trade, USA will not be able to exercise the freedom of sanctioning Nations. (South Africa, India, China) are countries with make up for the majority of the world trades.

Case Studies

This silent economic relations war could be seen in the case study of Brazil. The Current cold war will be less black and white, for a fact countries will exploit either nations of China and USA for their personal gain. Brazil is a close ally to the US and Yet they refused to sell weapons to Ukraine during the Russian invasion. Brazil did not lend out an hand as they are part of the BRICS alliance. Brazils president travelled to Beijing in April 2023 and signed 20 plus agreements regarding technology - development. They also asked Beijing to help in the negotiation in the Russia - Ukraine war. Brazil is playing both sides for their benefit.

India's Position

We can imagine only where this will put India into place. Sooner or later we will be forced to choose a side or another possibility is that we become independent. India looking towards becoming a possible superpower in the next decade must pull up its A game against China and their possible threats in the Galwan Valley, Belt Road Initiative, Northeast. Splitting the world into a bipolar platform will only lead to problems which will soon be war. If India continues pursing its Non - Aligned Foreign Policy, it will adhere to good relations with all countries and can be helpful for us when we are in need. We never know when USA or China will turn their back on us. We can to be ready for come what may.
