Does Nimona Show Gender Fluidity?

Nimona is an animated movie that shows several aspects and hardships a gender-fluid person or someone belonging to the LGBTQIA+ has to go through. It's a great way to spread awareness and the concept of gender fluidity between young adults and as well as the one's who are having a hard time accepting it.

Plot

The movie revolves around the character Nimona, who is not human and can shape-shift into any creature at any time. They are not accepted by society and is termed a monster as it is quite distinct from the specified understanding of human beings.

Major Highlights

Several aspects have been shown here and as well as the agenda of self-love has been given a major significance. The way the journey has been portrayed is so beautiful and wonderful that it may make one cry. It’s quite relatable for the Queer community or even those who do not belong in it. It depicts the loneliness, adjustments, and level of mental exhaustion one goes through while figuring out their gender.

The society shown in there is something we all should aspire to become. If the animations have started accepting and encouraging the changing world where there are more than two genders, why can’t we?
